After completing a business and computing degree Chris worked within the computer industry for ten years. In 1991 he founded a $10m revenue communications and marketing consultancy which he sold to London quoted communications group. Following the sale, he remained as CEO and was additionally appointed up as COO of a group of 7 international communications consultancies. He left the group in 2015 after its acquisitions by WPP.
Chris became involved with ShelterBox in 2011 after running a marathon as a fundraiser. Subsequently he qualified as a ShelterBox response team member and has deployed on a number of occasions. In 2013 he was appointed as a trustee and served for three years including delivering formal pro-bono strategic consulting during 2015 before stepping down to take up the interim CEO role in February 2016.
Chris is married with two children and is a licensed pilot and keen mountaineer.
